Stewardship

Pledge Sunday is for November 17th, 2024.

“Just think—you don’t need a thing; you’ve got it all!  All God’s gifts are right in front of you as you wait expectantly for our Master Jesus to arrive on the scene for the Finale.  And not only that, but God himself is right alongside to keep you steady and on track until things are all wrapped up by Jesus.” (1 Corinthians 1:7-8, The Message).

We live in a culture that is so focused on scarcity (even our individual scarcity). We can quickly give an itemized list of what we don’t have, but think or believe we need to have.  We grasp for so many things and work so hard to hold on to them with fierce strength.  God help us when we’re asked to share or give or even give up something.  We would rather just tighten our grip!

I hope you will join us as we prepare to follow God into a new way of thinking, feeling, doing and being. We give to God as a response to what has been given to us.  We do not lack anything because God has given us all that we need.

Take time in these days to consider pledging to God’s work through Woodland Presbyterian Church.  Pledge Sunday is November 17.  We want to do God’s work here in 2025!  Let’s celebrate the God who has given all that we will ever need!
